CPSA Shanghai, April 18th 2014

Youth in Science remains one of the underpinnings of CPSA's desire to promote interdisciplinary education, training and career development. As a Silver Sponsor in Shanghai for the 5th year in a row, McKinley Scientific awarded a number of copies of "Mass Spectrometry in Drug Metabolism and Disposition" Edited by Mike Lee and Mingshe Zhu. Two Kindle copies and two hard copies are on their way to some of the winners pictured above. McKinley Scientific also had the pleasure of attending an offsite workshop organized by New Objective, Inc., a strategic marketing partner of McKinley Scientific, where co-founder Gary Valaskovic, among others, provided an educational forum around technology, research and innovation. The event was attended by over 110 students.

McKinley also sponsored a "Lunch & Learn" workshop which showcased local research and innovation in Mass Spectrometry with applications to personal medicine. Pictured above was guest speaker Professor ChuanFan Ding of Fudan University who has developed a low cost ceramic linear ion trap technology with a view to developing a portable MS/MS. The other guest speaker was Weijian Sun of Shimadzu Research Labs whose focus on Ion optics, Ion Trap and direct probes demonstrated a more commercial approach to miniaturizing MS/MS.

McKinley Scientific will travel to Brasil in July for the inaugural CPSA Brasil event in 2014.
